Our Program

Here at Lafayette Academy we have created a curriculum inspired by two of the most respected teaching philosophies in the world - Reggio Emilia and Montessori, all while emphasizing reading readiness and math literacy. The Reggio Emilia-inspired curriculum highlights project-based learning and the integration of the arts, while the Montessori methodology prioritizes self-directed exploration and hands-on learning. At Lafayette Academy we have taken the best qualities of both curricula and enhanced them.

Our school offers a unique and innovative hybrid curriculum that provides children with a comprehensive education that focuses on creativity, collaboration, and empirical learning. At this school, children are encouraged to explore their interests and passions in a supportive and nurturing environment. Children at the school learn through a variety of modalities, including music, art, and outdoor exploration. We also emphasize real world exploration through educational field trips to help broaden our children's world and knowledge.

Our classrooms are designed to inspire curiosity and wonder. They are filled with natural materials and are carefully curated to reflect the values of our schools philosophies. Children are encouraged to explore, collaborate with their peers, and take ownership of their learning.

Our teachers at this school bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the classroom. We work closely with parents to support each child's unique learning journey and ensure that they are thriving academically, socially, and emotionally.

Our school offers a unique and comprehensive education that combines the best of Reggio Emilia and Montessori methodologies. With a focus on creativity, collaboration, and hands-on learning, it is the perfect place for parents who want to provide their children with an innovative education that prepares them for a lifetime of success.
